Dr M. Uma Shankar is the nodal officer of DTC, Hyderabad. He is the professor of psychiatry & Superintendent of IMH, (Institute of Mental Health) Hyderabad. He has pursued his M.D psychiatry from IMH, HYD. He is a member secretary & CEO of state mental health authority. He has vast experience in the field of psychiatry as a clinician and administrator. He is instrumental in the implementation of DMHP. He is a part of National survey conducted by GOI on Extend and Pattern of Psychoactive Substance Use in India as a principle investigator for Telangana & Andhra Pradesh.
