Drug Treatment Clinic , IMH, Hyderabad

Drug treatment center was started at Institute of Mental Health, Hyderabad on 01-Jan, 2020, with the aim of providing free and easily accessible service for patients suffering from substance abuse disorders on an outpatient basis. IMH was established in 1895, which is a 600 bedded apex psychiatry institute for the state of Telengana

We are a team of a Medical officer, a Counselor and a Staff Nurse working under the supervision and guidance of our Nodal officer. Our DTC OPD is right next to Psychiatry OPD which is an added advantage, making sure that the patients get registered and avail the benefits under the scheme. The drug treatment centre works in close association with the psychiatric set up to cover the co-morbid factors. At government psychiatric Hospital (IMH), the DTC centre is open 6 days a week from 9 am to 4 pm.
