Drug Treatment Clinic (DTC), Churachandpur

District Hospital Churachandpur was started in 1946 with 141 beds. The facility provides outdoor and indoor patients are facilities with free diagnostics (laboratory) service to the hospital including 24 hours x 7 days. Emergency and Trauma Centre, Blood Bank, Labour Room, Pharmacy and Ambulance.

OPD Services includes medicines Surgery, Paediatric, Ortho, ENT, EYE, Dental, Gynae/ Maternity, PMR, Skin & STD Counselling, Psychiatry and DTC, OST, Minor OT, Ayush and Homeopathy, ART Plus, ICTC, PPTCT, NCD Clinic, RKSK, Tobacco cessation, Dietitian, PPC. Now, it is proposed and sanction for Medical College

On 23rd February 2016, the National Drug Dependence Treatment Centre Team visited the District Hospital Churachandpur. After that, the Centre team approve to open DTC on 3 District, viz, Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Thoubal on the 16th March 2016. Again, on 14th June 2016, 3 staffs for Churachandpur were issued employment letter and on 1st July 2016, the selected staffs gave joining letter to the Superintendent of District Hospital, Churachandpur. DTC District Hospital Churachandpur, has a separate dedicated contractual staffs comprises of MO, Counsellor and Nurse. Dr. Vanlalkungi is our present Medical Superintendent who is looking after overall functioning of DTC or chairman Dr. Chinggouman is looking after as Nodal Officer.
