Our hospital, Community General Hospital (CGHS), is a unit of Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (IMHANS) Kashmir. Drug de-addiction center is running in Community General Hospital and is a separate three story unit in SMHS Hospital. Our unit is 20 bedded with both inpatient and outpatient facilities. In addition to this, we have drug treatment clinic in collaboration with AIIMS, New Delhi under which we provide free medicines to outpatients. The daily footfall of the OPD is around 200 - 250 patients. The total number of patients registered at our Drug Treatment Clinic is around 5112 and the services we provide in Drug Treatment Clinic are registration of patients, follow up with the doctor, counseling, medicine dispensing. Along with these DTC provides its services in case of emergencies like overdoses etc. and counseling sessions to the patients like individual sessions, group sessions and family sessions and oftentimes field visits as well. DTC also has a provision of daily yoga sessions and other recreational activities for patients.
