Drug treatment Clinic, District Hospital, Bhatinda

The Drug Treatment Clinic at Bhatinda is located within the premises of Civil Hospital opp. Woman and Children Hospital. It is three Story building having 50 bedded in patients ward, and outpatient clinic. Outpatient Clinic provides usual Psychiatry and De-addiction Services as well as substitution Treatment for Opioids, both Methadone Maintence Programme and Opioid Substitution Therapy are being run as a part of Substitution treatment Programme Under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and NACO Respectively. Average 1500-2000 Patients per Month Avail OPD Services of De-addiction and Psychiatry 60-70 Patients are admitted in IPD per Month. Registered Clients in OST Programme are 189 out of which 100-110 are regularly taking Treatment. There are approx. 175 Clients which are registered in MMT Project out of which 72 -80 are regular on treatment. The Centre has been named as Model Drug De-addiction Centre and is being run by department of psychiatry Guru Govind Singh Medical College and Hospital Faridkot. It is working in Close Collaboration with Civil Hospital Bhatinda and referral Services from other specialties is being provided by Civil Hospital Bhatinda.
